Sleep and Meditation
About 10 years ago, I was at a stage in my life where I focused too much on the negatives and things I didn’t have in my life (job I hated, no boyfriend/husband, etc.). I was never overweight, but my emotions really took over my body. It wasn’t getting me anywhere so I realized I needed to turn things around and think more positively. I started focusing on what made me feel good, exercise being one of them. I started practicing yoga to put me in a better mental state. I started to notice some change, so concentrated on my nutrition, too. I was always eating heavy processed foods with lots of bad ingredients. I realized how much sodium, preservatives and chemicals were in these foods, so I changed things up by cooking more whole foods at home, adding more proteins, vegetables, herbs and the right nutrients. Just by eating the right foods and staying active I became so much more positive and energetic. Now healthy eating and exercising regularly are a part of my daily routine.
I was focusing on me, and really started to appreciate the body I have. Being grateful for the things I do have and how good I felt every day. That seemed to stem a whole new chapter in my life, as I am now married, have two beautiful step children and I know exactly what I want in my career.
When I realized how much I loved wellness, I decided to pursue my passion and develop a career in it. I want to educate others how to support their mind, body and spirit through good foods, fitness and a positive mental state. All of this done naturally through herbs, plants and an open mind.
